You know one of those moments when the right thing comes along?
A year and a half ago I read The Happiness Equation by Neil Pasricha.
I picked up Neil’s book and I devoured it.
Right book at the right time.
Love that ;0)
I was ready for some new habits as well as the reinforcement of some things I was consistently do in my life that anchor me to who I am and my value system.
Through Neil I learned that the number one google search topic is How to be happy. For your interest, it’s then followed by how to be rich and how to be pretty…
Neil’s work shared that there are three key pieces to core happy. If you make these your daily foundation, you’ve got lots of great to build on.
The three are:
- Brisk 20 min nature walk WITHOUT mobile phone. You can see this Forest therapy
- 20-minute replay, journaling on what GOOD happened in your day
- Reading 20 pages of fiction from a real book (a screen read isn’t the same Neil says, and I agree)
If you are sleeping 8 hours a night, that leaves you 16 living hours.
16 hours of living hours is 960 minutes.
Action gets you results.
If you’re looking to improve your happy, make these three, 20 minute activities a priority. And use your 900 other minutes as you wish.
Nothing to lose, and a whole lot to gain.
And from this angle, not only do I feel the difference, I am owning the difference.
Over to you xo
